We are ideally positioned near to the New Forest, the historic town of Wimborne and the port of Poole. The seaside town of Bournemouth is only a short drive away.
New Forest National Park:
A wonderful place to walk in the countryside and meet the New Forest ponies and donkeys. Burley is a lovely village in the heart of the New Forest with a few good pubs and independently owned shops to wander around.
Wimborne:
This lovely historic town houses the beautiful Wimborne Minster and lovely old Tivoli Theatre, together with a selection of independent shops and many coffee houses.
Poole:
The historic port of Poole is a very interesting place to visit, with its old streets, shopping centre and working port. There is a ferry from Poole across to Brownsea Island which many of you may know is in the Enid Blyton novels The Famous Five.
Sandbanks:
The beaches with miles of golden sands. Just across the car ferry you will find the National Trust's Studland Beach, again with its golden sands.
Swanage:
Just around the coast is Swanage, which is a must to visit. There are small independent shops, a penny slot-arcade and ice cream and coffee shops galore. There is an 820-yard-long (750-metre-long) wooden pier to wander out over the sea.
Bournemouth:
This seaside town has very many attractions. The beautiful sandy beaches, mini golf, Bournemouth Gardens, shops, restaurants and of course the Pavilion and Bournemouth International Centre with their many shows.
Moors Valley County Park:
We are only 3.4 miles (5.5 kilometres) away from the park. There are wildlife walks and a small steam train to enjoy. Go Ape is available here, cycles can be hired for an hour or a day or you can even have a go on a Segway! There is fishing and golf and also a Mindfulness Audio Trail.
